Current Spiritual Retreat support and Mentoring with Lynne Tarrab-Snooks, online & in South Devon
Prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic, all of my individual, family and group support is offered online through Zoom or Skype.
The sessions, which may include life-coaching, mentoring, and if wanted, spiritual accompaniment, will support your personal growth.
I also offer 1:1 sessions and small-group work for Susannah Grover's Ineffable Stream retreats.
My experience includes consultancy projects across UK and Europe. I work with all aspects of emotional and social well-being, relationships and behaviour, and specialise in the growth of skills relating to developmental trauma.
For more information please read on and don't hesitate to contact me to discuss anything.
Ongoing Family Mentoring
Sometimes, as a parent (birth or adoptive) or foster carer, it can really help to seek advice, support and information when faced with the changing dynamics of family life.
I offer 1:1 sessions and/or family support sessions in person or online.
These sessions address whatever issues are coming up for parents and/or carers and /or their children.
It can be hard to communicate at times when the pressures of everyday life dominate so the sessions also support improved communication for everyone involved.
Contact me to arrange an initial assessment session. Contracts can be short term, issue-focussed or open-ended and ongoing.
My Family Mentoring support includes the possibility of one or more home visits (if requested or required), liaison with the children’s school(s) (if requested or required for EHCP development or Special Needs support); and face to face meetings when requested or required; liaison with health provision and or social services or agencies (if requested or required).
Most of the ongoing support will be offered online, via Skype or Facetime or Zoom, or face to face. It can include additional supportive reading, recommendations and suggested resources and the practising of techniques.
My fees for Family Mentoring are as follows:
Assessment: £120 (90 minutes session + documentation)
Subsequent sessions (face to face or online) £90 p.h. (60 minutes session)
Payment is usually via Bank Payment or cash. Invoices and receipts are of course, provided.

Pre-Covid-19 pandemic courses
I am not offering workshops or courses in person at this time.
Most of my previous courses and groups have taken place at The Nautilus Rooms, 35A Fore Street Totnes TQ9 5HN. Please click on the headings below to see the courses I have previously offered:
• A two session evening course:
Celebrating and Surviving Adolescence
We explore the neuroscience of the developing adolescent brain so that we have a better understanding of what goes on during this exciting, vulnerable and challenging phase.
Then we consider the implications for the young people involved and for those of us that live or work with them through these demanding changes.
My short courses and ongoing groups may qualify as Continuing Professional Development for professionals. Attendance certificates and receipts are available.
• A weekend course:
Become a Warrior for Now
How can we live the best of ourselves in these days? We have only to listen to the radio, look at the updates of news on our phones or watch current affairs on our screens to know that we humans face many challenges in these troubled times. All over the world, people are dealing with natural disasters or the ecological results of human thoughtlessness, greed or exploitation. Much closer to home, we may be experiencing difficulties in our closest relationships, or feeling 'stuck', or disillusioned with life. Maybe you want to make changes but do not know how. Maybe you feel scared or under-resourced. Maybe you cannot see the wood from the trees. If you have stopped being able to watch the news or have given up on your dreams, this course will help you to come back into alignment in your life.
Informed by the Shambala work of Chogyam Trungpa, this course is an introduction to finding and developing your essential Warrior nature.
Finding ways to be true to ourselves as we contribute to the development of our relationships, families and community demands awareness, gentleness, courage and skill.
The group will come together using breathwork, meditation, movement, story, mark-making and inquiry to reconnect us to our deeper capacities.
In these ways we will begin to meet our experiences with heartfelt resilience, focus and strength.
Consultancy projects
I have years of experience as a freelance Consultant for aspects of emotional and social well-being, relationships and behaviour.
My recent projects include:
- Consultancy and resource creation for Community Mentoring and Support (CMAS). This national project works with 'at risk', disenfranchised and sometimes displaced young people.
- This consultancy involved the development of training resources and courses for Mentors; the development of supervision models and the provision of online supervision for Mentors and preparation of materials and documentation for the newly approved Independent School 2019.
